Candidate Ranking
The ranked list
Section titled “The ranked list”Every job posting has its own ranked candidate list. Candidates appear here after swiping right on that specific job.
Ranking is by composite match score (0–100), which blends:
- Hard match (40%) — did they pass your non-negotiable filters?
- Personality fit (40%) — how close is their Big Five profile to your target?
- Predictive signal (20%) — pattern from past hiring outcomes (active once sufficient data exists; falls back to heuristic otherwise)
Candidates who fail any hard filter do not appear in the list regardless of personality fit.
Match explanation
Section titled “Match explanation”For each candidate, you can view:
- Score breakdown — how much each component contributed
- Strengths — where they excel relative to this role’s config
- Growth areas — where the fit is weakest (not a disqualifier; useful for interview focus)
- Suggested interview questions — generated from their specific profile gap vs. your job config
The explanation uses plain language. If the score feels wrong, the explanation tells you exactly which dimension is driving it and why.
Decisions
Section titled “Decisions”| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Advance | Creates a match — candidate is notified, chat opens |
| Pass | Candidate is marked as reviewed; removed from active list |
| Hold | No action yet; candidate stays in list |
Passing a candidate creates a “no hire” signal that feeds the predictive model over time, improving future rankings.
Fairness
Section titled “Fairness”Match scores are monitored monthly for disparate impact across demographic groups. If a scoring component produces statistically significant disparities (using the 4/5 rule), the audit flags it for review.
You can view the latest fairness report for your account from Settings → Compliance.
